Restaurant 1309’s Head Chef Ben Murphy’s culinary journey began at home, guided by a family of chefs and the cherished memories of cooking alongside his Nan. With 18 years of experience spanning Australia and Canada, he has refined his craft in renowned kitchens, including The Marriott Hotel in Banff and Quails’ Gate Estate, one of Canada’s top wineries.
Ben’s passion extends beyond the plate – his love for food and photography fuels his creativity, allowing him to craft dishes that are both visually stunning and deeply flavourful.
