7 November @ 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
You asked, we listened – following two sold-out Grazing & Gazing events, it’s back this Spring.
Join us this spring for a another edition of Grazing and Gazing – an unforgettable evening of fine food and stargazing at Balgownie Estate, in collaboration with the Astronomical Society of Victoria (ASV).
The evening begins with a shared dining feast on long communal tables, featuring a selection of seasonal dishes to enjoy at a relaxed pace. During dinner, ASV volunteers will present an introduction to the celestial wonders you’ll be observing later in the night.
As darkness deepens, you’ll be guided through the night sky, often clearer and more expansive this time of year, with telescopes set up by ASV members offering close-up views of globular clusters, nebulae, and distant galaxies. This unique combination of visual observing and live image stacking brings the cosmos to life in extraordinary detail.Â
*We recommend wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes, as you’ll be walking on uneven ground to reach the ideal viewing spot. Grazing and Gazing will take place regardless of weather, supported by our ASV volunteers who are there to ensure a memorable experience.
