Just 10 minutes outside of Bendigo City Centre, Balgownie Estate has been producing award-winning wines since its first vintage back in 1972. On Sunday 15th of October Balgownie Bendigo will host their Spring Fair which will include a market with the region’s best produce, arts and crafts on sale, as well as a clearance sale of their past vintages and bin ends. The Maiden Gully Marong Lions Club are bringing their BBQ and live music will be on the Cellar Door deck from 12pm.
Whilst here, why not dine in our beautiful restaurant or alfresco dining area with sprawling vineyard views. Our menus, created by our talented chef’s, are inspired by modern European cuisine using only the best seasonal and regional local produce.
You can also visit the cellar door and taste from our extensive selection of wines made from hand-harvested fruit grown on our beautiful old vines, that are now over 50 years old.
Restaurant Open for Breakfast from 8am – 10am, Lunch from 12pm – 2pm and Dinner from 6pm – 8pm. We will be open all day for coffee and drinks. Cellar door is open from 11am – 5pm. This is a free event, no need to book, we look forward to seeing you on the day.

Visit the Central Deborah Gold Mine (Australia's deepest mine), for an underground gold mine experience like no other, followed by a vintage tram tour throughout the centre of Bendigo. Your tickets for the tram tour are valid all day, allowing you to hop-on and hop-off as you discover everything Bendigo has to offer.
Relax and finish the day with a two-course dinner at Balgownie's onsite restaurant, a peaceful country night's stay in our Homestead suites, Bell or Safari tents, followed by a delicious breakfast the next morning.
